This month, we have been busy in our Birkenhead workshop as we have received many pleasure craft repairs from sailing clubs in the local area. As life slowly begins to return to some form of normality, it’s great to see private boat owners returning to the water and enjoying life on the water.

Each month we will be asking a member some ‘meet the team’ questions. This month is the turn of our new Digital Media/Service Support Charlotte McCarthy.

Charlotte has joined us with a Business Management degree from the University of Liverpool and is our new Digital Media / Service Support, creating social posts and updating our website daily, alongside helping with our Service enquiries and jobs.

New Local Partner

Pleasure Craft Maintenance Page

We have recently received repair requests for small Pleasure Craft propellers from sailing clubs in our local area. As lockdown is easing, more privately owned boats are on the water and require some minor repairs. We have created a dedicated Pleasure Craft page with more information regarding our drop & collect service at our Birkenhead Workshop.

Workboat Propeller Repair

The most recent of our repairs, a set of twin 600mm 5 blade props were brought into our workshop requiring hot straightening, welding and a polish. Here at Stone Marine Shipcare, we work with all major Class Societies for Build Up & our Propeller Technicians have completed many complex repairs.

Passenger Boat Propeller Repair

A 560mm propeller was brought in with damage that was causing vibration, our experienced Propeller Technician’s completed the repair within 3 hours and the propeller was back on the boat the same day. Read more about this job here.
