Our Propeller Service Team recently travelled to Doha, Qatar to repair extensive damage on 7.9m DIA 36T FP propeller.

After an extensive propeller inspection earlier in the year our team was able to return to Qatar ahead of schedule with a newly manufactured Class approved propeller tip section. Our equipment had already been despatched ahead of the attending team.

The Propeller Repair plan was approved by Class in advance and liaison with the shipyard led by our Service Department Manager Julie Hughes ensured that the propeller was ready for repair and our equipment was available on arrival.

All work was completed including post weld heat treatment and static balancing using our newly developed portable load cell arrangement.

Class was in attendance throughout and issued the final approval of the propeller repair.
