CPP Blade Inspection & Repair: SMS Birkenhead Workshop

Our work with our partners & suppliers continues daily, communication and building relationships has been central to our work and development over the past few years.
The SMS Propeller Repair Worskhop, Birkenhead recently received 4 CPP blades from a long standing and valued customer of ours. The arrival & inspection of these blades was no surprise and was scheduled weeks in advance.
Our propeller technicians completed a full inspection upon arrival, finding cavitation erosion and damage on the tips and leading edges. Also wear on the blade palms was noted and required correction.
Blade palm machining, MIG weld repair and Post Weld Heat Treatment were completed, and the blades were ready to be returned to the customer on schedule.
Communicating with our partners, customers & suppliers allows us to ensure that repairs are completed on time and cost effectively.
